The 1st Annual Race for Soccer Scholarships at Dacula Soccer Club in Rabbit Hill Park (400 Rabbit Hill Road, Dacula, GA) will be held Dec. 15.

This benefits families suffering hardships due to death by illness or accident.  The scholarships started in 2008 when the Abunaw Family lost their beloved father when he was fatally shot during a robbery. The boys were just 9 and 4 years old at the time. Their mother was working two jobs to support the household and sadly, could not continue with the boys' soccer activity. It is the goal of the Abunaw Scholarship Fund to support those additional families that have experienced significant loss and are in need of financial assistance for soccer tuition and travel expenses.

1 Mile Fun Run Start time: 2 p.m.

5K Start time:  2:30 p.m.
