Dacula Resident Featured in Several Major News Publications
Dacula resident, president-elect of the American Meteorological Society and University of Georgia professor Dr. Marshall Shepherd was recently featured in numerous publications discussing various weather-related issues.
Shepherd discussed problems with America's aging weather satellites with Time Magazine and weighed in on climate change and storms such as Sandy with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Popular Mechanics and Cynthia Tucker.
Shepherd is also featured in an audio interview posted on Science Friday discussing what made Sandy such an unusual storm.
In addition to his work as a professor of geography in the University of Georgia Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, Shepherd is also director of the University's Atmospheric Sciences Program.
