A sweet little female Beagle showed up in our Hamilton Mill yard yesterday and we would like very much to return her to the family she misses. She has been an enthusiastic playmate to the kids so I know she came from a happy home and hasn't had any "accidents."
If she is not yours, but you would be interested in meeting & rescuing her if we don't find her owners in the next week, please let us know. We have an adopted rescue dog and will not be able to keep her should her family fail to contact us.
Thanks - Jenni Cope

Hi there! Has she been checked for a microchip?

Yes, unfortunately she doesn't have one and the closest veterinarian didn't recognize her. Dr. Zak thought she was probably 4-5 years old. She hasn't been spayed and I had her treated for fleas, heart worms and will do everything else next week to make sure she is fully vaccinated & fixed. I just want to give the owners some time to find her first since I don't know her history. I wouldn't even consider turning her in to a shelter- she is such a sweet little dog.

Thank you so much to the mom on my son's lacrosse team for the suggestion to post on the Dacula Patch and to the lady calling with information about the dog's possible owner - with your help, the owner was found. Both the owner and the dog "Holly" were overjoyed to be reunited!

That is wonderful news! I am so glad Holly made it back to her owners. Thanks for posting on Dacula Patch and thanks for letting us know about the happy ending!

I'm so glad that Holly found YOU!! Knowing that you were willing to do all that for this sweet girl warms my heart. This is also a reminder for all pet owners to make sure that their dogs are wearing a collar with tags. Tags with good phone numbers greatly increase their chances of being returned quickly without a trip to the shelter. Tags are cheap when you get them from the internet. Go to ebay ;).
