Last September, hundreds of people came out for "One UnbeLEAFable Day" at Little Mulberry Park in Dacula. The event, a fundraiser dedicated to building a playground on the Hog Mountain side of the park, generated a little under $30,000 according to Tina Fleming, division director of Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation.

The Gwinnett Parks Foundation continues to raise money towards the effort, Fleming wrote in an email to Dacula Patch. Since the playground is still in the design stage, the total cost is not yet known but Fleming indicated similar projects have ranged in price from $150,000 - $200,000.

Fleming does not expect construction to begin until late in the third quarter of 2013.
