Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau Honors Peterson with Friend of Tourism Award
The Gwinnett Convention & Visitors Bureau (GCVB) named Ed Peterson a recipient of the Friend of Tourism Award. Mr. Peterson is the Director of Sales for the Wyndham Garden Duluth hotel, managed by Atlanta-based Hotel Equities.
Presented recently at the Gwinnett CVB’s 11th Annual Tourism Awards luncheon, the award recognizes the individuals who go above and beyond what is expected
to partner with the GCVB and to draw in new business. These individuals are pivotal in not just bringing meetings, events and visitors to Gwinnett County, but in making the guests want to come back.
“Ed was a unanimous choice for a Friend of Tourism award this year,” said Lisa Anders Minter, Executive Director, GCVB. “His enthusiasm, as well as his dedication to
both his hotel and to Gwinnett County’s hospitality
industry, is unparalleled. He is a strong advocate for our industry.”
Mr. Peterson has a total of 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He joined Hotel Equities in 2005 and served as Director of Sales at several of the firm’s properties before taking the post at the Wyndham Garden.
A graduate of Gwinnett Technical College, Mr. Peterson earned a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. A resident of Dacula in Gwinnett County,
he enjoys playing golf, camping, canoeing and mountain biking in his free time.
