Gwinnett County Jail Dogs to Be Featured on ‘Pit Bulls and Parolees’
The Animal Planet program “Pit Bulls and Parolees” recently filmed a segment at the Gwinnett County Jail featuring dogs and handlers from the Operation Second Chance - Jail Dogs program.
“Pit Bulls and Parolee” star Tia Torres posted the following statement on her Villalobos Rescue Center website, “Words cannot express how impressed I was at the way these dogs were being handled and trained. The majority of the inmates were better dog handlers than most of the dog trainers I know. And the dogs were brilliant! They had many Pit Bulls and some adorable mutts as well.”
One of the dogs Torres had the chance to meet was Brauny, a pit bull who was found malnourished and abandoned. The show featuring Brauny and other Jail Dogs will air Saturday, Feb. 11 at 10 p.m.

Greatest program ever! Thank you to the inmates and the sheriff for allowing such a great opportunity for both man and his best friend. Love it ! More programs like this should follow this correctional facility. God bless you ;)

I watched Pit Bulls and Paroles all night last night. I was really impressed with the second chance program at Gwinnett County Jail. I think there should be more programs like this in other jails. The Dogs teach this men unconditional love and make them want to make a change in their lives. Thank You for allowing this program. You not only saved the dogs llives; but have changed peoples lives at the same time. Finally something Positive. Good Luck and God Bless You All.
