Mill Creek Seniors Commit to Play Lacrosse at Young Harris College

Alex Schneider and Will Peek, seniors at Mill Creek High School recently held a signing party to celebrate their commitment to play NCAA Division II lacrosse at Young Harris College, in the North Georgia Mountains. They signed their official National Letter of Intent during early signing week in November 2012. The Mill Creek Varsity Lacrosse Coach is Bo Adams.

Alex Schneider - Varsity Goalie

Career Saves- 304

Save Percentage- 61 percent

Lettered every year since freshman year in lacrosse. Was voted by his team to receive the Leadership Award (Junior).

Voted to 2nd Team All-County Goalie (Sophomore)

Gwinnett County Super Six Lacrosse in Gwinnet Daily Post (Junior)

Voted to 1st Team All-County Goalie (Junior)

A member of DECA, TSA, German Honor Society - Alex is an Eagle Scout. Selected as a Mill Creek representative for the IDEALS Leadership Academy (Junior) - run by Jack Williams, ex Georgia Tech Football coach. http://www.idealsleadership.org/index.html (A select off-campus 8 week program where athletes are nominated by their coaches in their Junior high school year for their proven leadership abilities to improve these leadership qualities on and off the field. As a Senior, they then mentor a freshman player of their sport.)

Parents are Peter and Joanna Schneider of Dacula.

 

Will Peek - Varsity Midfielder

Summer 2012 stats - 32 goals. 14 assists.

Lettered since freshman year in Lacrosse. Received Most Valuable Leader for both JV and Varsity teams, as a freshman.

A member of SALT (a teacher nominated leadership program), the Latin Club, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Parents are Gardner and Kristi Peek of Dacula.

Siblings, Maddie Peek 15, Worth Peek 12, and Wyatt Peek 11, all lacrosse players as well.

Both players are assistant coaches for a Mill Creek U15 rec league lacrosse team.
