McArthur O’Brien, a senior at Mill Creek High School, has been awarded $2,500 from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
O'Brien was one of five Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students named to this year’s National Merit list.
According to a GCPS press release, National Merit scholars "are part of a group of distinguished students nationwide judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies."
