Mill Creek Student Places First at State Competition
Mill Creek High School student Jared Flauta was one of 31 Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) students to advance to an international competition after placing first or second in the DECA (Distributive Clubs of America) state competition.
Flauta finished first in the finance testing event.
As a top finisher, Flauta was invited to attend the DECA (Distributive Clubs of America) International Career Development Conference which was held April 28-May 1 in Salt Lake City.
DECA is a high school and college association for students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service.
