Patch columnist Ray Newman has been chosen to serve on a committee to choose a successor for Dr. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC).
Newman, an at-large trustee with the ERLC, is one of seven people selected to serve on the committee.
