RECENT BREAK-IN VICTIMS UNITE

Hello Everyone!

I live in Hamilton Mill and this is my first post on this website. My mission is to get the word out there about all the break-ins that have been happening in the Hamilton Mill area. I was at the front pool on Friday and after about half hour my car window was busted into and my entire purse stolen; cash, cards, and irreplaceable things. I had it behind my seat and covered up but they are so brazen! I definitely learned my lesson.
I was wondering if anyone else on here has experienced this and was thinking we should get Channel 2 or any news crew out here to expose these punks! Before I start this, anyone care to share?

Hi Serina - I 100% agree!! I was at Gold's Gym last week, and they smashed my window to get my purse (which was also behind my seat). I think it was possible that they were watching me and knew exactly where my purse was. My windows are tinted, and it would have been very difficult for them to see thru the back windows. This was such a frustrating experience, and for anyone that has never had this happen - the loss of the material things is nothing compared to the intrusion and violation of someone having your personal items and information. I really want to see these people caught - I am wondering if it is a ring responsible for all/most of these crimes. I did have an idea - since there have been so many break-ins - would anyone out there be willing to put money towards a reward? I would be willing to pitch in - although I am a little limited with my budget. However - if we can pool money - we may be able to raise a sizable amount. That may give us a little more publicity...as well as a little more incentive for people to be on the look out for this activity. By the way - for everyone out there - I never thought this would happen to me - but it is happening all over the HM/Dacula area - it subdivisions as well as businesses. Please be cautious!!

There have been a number of similar type break-ins over the past few months (there have been many more mentioned in the crime blotter):

GCPD has offered some tips on preventing break-ins and some explanation for why we see a rise in this type activity in the summer months:

I also live in HM. I make sure we have all our valuables locked in the trunk prior to leaving our house, I also make sure the trunk is double locked so that the punk thieves can't open it from the inside trunk release.

What amazes me is that with so much traffic in and out of the pool parking lots these punks have yet to be caught. They must work in groups and have spotters about to warn of incoming cars.

What we need is a bait car with a purse let in the seat of a locked car...catch them in the act.

My friends car was broken into at the front pool while she played tennis. Window broken and purse stolen. They cashed up to 5k in checks against her account it was a white woman wearing a wig driving a black camry(could be stolen) they could make out the tag number. They wrote checks out to cash and went through the drive in window plus they had her I'd and the tellers never questioned it even though there was an alert on the account. I don't feel these are teens and they are very bold .

I had a typo in my last comment. They could NOT make out the tag number.

There is a meeting planned for July 20, 2011 at 6pm for the Hamilton Mill Community. The meeting will be located at the Lakeside Clubhouse; the police department will be present for the meeting.
