Work by Dacula Artist on Display at Capitol
Artwork by Dacula resident Henry M. Wood Jr. is currently on display in the Georgia State Capitol.
Work by Wood and six other Georgia Piedmont Arts Center member artists hangs in the offices of the House Appropriations Committee.
Rep. Terry England, a member of the committee who represents parts of Barrow County, invited the arts center to display work in the offices.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for both established and emerging GPAC artists” Kathleen Gill, president of the Georgia Piedmont Arts Center, said in a news release. “Hundreds of people every week travel through the Appropriations offices”.
In addition to Wood, artists whose work is on display include Richard Botters of Auburn, Renee Hewitt of Winder, Mia Rodriguez of Braselton, Kathleen Gill of Winder, Bobbie Austin of Social Circle and Bruce Bulau of Loganville.
