A 29-year-old Buford man died this morning when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree near the intersection of Buford Drive and I-85 southbound.
According to police, Daniel Walker was traveling eastbound on the Buford Drive entrance lane to I-85 south at approximately 2:12 a.m. when his 2000 Honda Accord left the roadway and struck a tree. Walker was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation. According to a Gwinnett County Police Department press release, alcohol may have been a factor in the fatal crash.

Even more a shame that he didn't have his seat belt on, he would most likely still be alive.
