Thieves Target Silver in Buckhead Break-Ins – Buckhead Patch

Atlanta police are investigating recent home break-ins where thieves are targeting the home owners’ sterling silver flatware and serving pieces.

In the three cases reported in recent weeks in Buckhead and North Atlanta, criminals cut or broke window glass to gain access to homes overnight while the residents were sleeping.

In one case, the victims put their value of their lost silver at $75,000-$100,000 and in a second case, the victims estimated they lost $50,000-$100,000.

A 24-year-old Stone Mountain man pretended to be a 17-year-old teenage boy in online discussions with a 13-year-old Canton girl, then tried to solicit her for sex, according to the Canton Police Department.

Kyle Alexander Williams, 24, was arrested at his DeKalb County home on Wednesday and charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to minors and violation of the Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Act of 1999.

Thieves Spend $20,000 Using Milton Man's Credit Cards – Alpharetta-Milton Patch

More than $20,000 was spent using credit cards stolen from a Milton man on the day of the theft, April 21.

The victim was playing golf at the Alpharetta Athletic Club when he got a call from American Express saying there was activity on his credit card that seemed fraudulent. He told Milton police that he had left his wallet locked in a locker in the clubhouse.

Before the day was out, at least seven fraudulent transactions were made at Target, and two more at Fry's. Video surveillance at both stores clearly shows the same couple apparently making the transactions. Target staff was able to confirm the man bought several thousand dollars worth of gift cards at that time. And they confirmed the same man did the same thing at a Target store in Suwanee earlier in the day. The gift cards had already been used at multiple Target stores in Marietta.
