If you guessed Blessings Cottage Café and Gift Shop you are right. Blessings Cottage was originally built in 1905 by Mr. William Hinton, a Dacula physician who lived in the house with his family. The home was converted into a business in 2004 and moved to its new location in 2007. In 2010, the cottage was purchased by Ken and Kim Coggins, Ashley Zeleznik, and Charlie and Tamara Ancona. This family currently runs the business now located at 2495 Fence Road.
I spoke with Kim Coggins about Blessings Cottage Café and Gift Shop and what it is like to own a business in Dacula.
Q: What motivated your family to purchase Blessings Cottage?
A: We had been long-time fans of Blessings Cottage and thought that it would be an exciting adventure to be a part of such a beloved place in our community. We thought it would be fun to operate a cafe with our family in this unique atmosphere. We also wanted to introduce the community to our delicious frozen custard ice cream!
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of owning a business in the city of Dacula?
A: The best part has been interacting with the amazing customers in the Dacula community and nearby areas who are so loyal and supportive.
Q: What would you like the community to know about Blessings Cottage?
A: We bend over backwards to make our customers happy! There is a great deal of attention and care that goes into every dish that we serve and unique gift that we offer. We hope that each person who enters the Blessing Cottage Cafe and Gift Shop will feel special and have a wonderful experience here!!
What’s good at Blessings Cottage Café? Don’t miss trying a jumbo cinnamon roll or one of a variety of muffins and bagels for breakfast and for lunch the signature chicken salad sandwiches and potato salad won’t disappoint. Also available for purchase is homemade fudge in a variety of fun flavors including pralines and cream, Snickers, Butterfinger, Oreo and more. Also Blessings Cottage Café and Gift Shop offers customers gifts such as Willow Tree figurines, unique jewelry, handmade hair accessories and baby items as well as a great selection of home décor.
Blessings Cottage Café and Gift Shop is open every Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and for brunch on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Blessings Cottage offers catering and can be booked for special group events such as a tea party, bridal shower or luncheon or baby shower.

I can't tell you how many times I've driven past this place and thought about stopping but I never have. After reading this article and seeing the pictures I know where I'm going the next time I'm craving fudge or need a unique gift! Great job Kristi (both of you) :-)

Love the history about that old house and am happy it is still part of our Dacula history. Owners....have you ever considered advertising your place as a great setting for Prom Pics? Just a thought.......

Have had lunch there on a number of occasions and their chicken salad is yummy! Also had our daughter's baby shower there with a Tea Party theme and everyone raved about the food and atmosphere!
