Dooley’s Southern Stone Pizza Kitchen Opens April 23
New restaurant is located in the Veranda at Fort Daniel shopping center near the intersection of Auburn Road and Hog Mountain Road.
The Firebird, Hawaii Five-0, Stairway to Heaven and Super Chicken will soon be available to Dacula residents. These specialty pizzas are just some of the items on the menu at Dooley’s Southern Stone Pizza Kitchen. The restaurant, located at 1862 Auburn Road in Dacula, will open Monday, April 23.
Dooley's is owned and operated by the Appling family -- the same family that operated the Mellow Mushroom in The Shops at Hamilton Mill. After the lease for the Mellow Mushroom space was not renewed, the Applings opened Dooley’s Southern Stone Pizza Kitchen in Winder.
"We're really excited to get back over that way," said Chad Appling.
Dooley’s Southern Stone Pizza Kitchen will open Monday, April 23, at 11 a.m. The store is located in suite 113 of the Veranda at Fort Daniel shopping center, 1862 Auburn Road, Dacula, Ga. Click here or visit the Dooley’s Southern Stone Pizza Kitchen for more information.

Good luck to Dooley's and the Appling family with their adventure back in the Dacula area. Having been to the Winder location a few times this will be a nice add to the area. Hopefully there is enough traffic through the new location to be a successful business. I noticed a lot of cars in the lot there the other day. Must be training employees.

Wishing Dooley's much success in Dacula. Had a fabulous pizza at the Winder location but the Dacula location is in my neighborhood.

Can't wait! We loved their old place and have tried Dooley's in Winder, it was awesome! One request - can you get a gluten free pizza crust?

I was there tonight wait I am still here tonight and I hope things improve. Waited over an hour and still no salad or garlic nuggets. If things don't improve they won't have to worry about a lease renewal.

Very sorry Mr. Coke. We did have some issues last night, it was day 1. And yes, if we do not get them fixed we will not be in business long. That being said thank you to everyone who came out to support us. We are looking forward to the challanges of meeting everyones expectations and serving the community for a long time to come.

We were there last night also. And, as an owner of a restaurant, I know that Day 1 is always hectic. The employees don't know what they're doing yet and it takes a while for them to master their jobs. As a matter of fact, I have opened corporate restaurants where customers never received their food. It's not a matter of whether it will be a bad experience on Day 1, but just how bad it will be. I say wait a couple-three weeks and try them again. And I hope that things will improve as time goes by.

My wife and I went back today and not only was it better but everything is better. We had terrific service today, the food was great, just the overall experience is a million times better. I am glad we can back and happy to have Dooley's a mile from my home.
