Earth Day 2012: Celebrate by Pledging an Act of Green

Earth Day 2012 is April 22. As part of their "Earth Day 2012: Mobilize the Earth" campaign, Earthday.org is asking people worldwide to pledge an act of green.

What can you do to help save the planet?

Earthday.org is asking people worldwide to make a pledge to perform an environmentally friendly act as part of their "A Billion Acts of Green" campaign. To date, more than 977 million acts of green have been pledged including promises to plant a garden at school or home, organize an Earth Day event or plant a tree.

Earth Day organizers describe the celebration as an opportunity to "elevate the importance of environmental issues around the world."
