Good Vibrations: A Natural Health and Nutrition Store

Patch checks out our hometown natural health and nutrition store.

Are you aware that we have an alternative, natural health and nutrition store right here in our hometown of Dacula? opened for business back in December of 2010 and is located just across the train tracks from the high school. Sharon Cunningham owns and operates this business and was a former teacher at as well as a few other Gwinnett County schools. After becoming terminally ill in 2003, Sharon began a natural health regime that essentially brought her healing and in her own words “led her to discover a whole new world.” Patch spoke with Sharon this week and here is what she had to say about Good Vibrations, Dacula and more.

Patch: What motivated you to open a business here in Dacula?

Sharon: My store was previously at the north end of Barrow County and most of my customers were from Auburn, Dacula, Hoschton, Lawrenceville and Buford.  When the lease was up, it seemed to be a good idea to move to Gwinnett County.

Patch: What is the best part about owning/managing your own business?

Sharon: When you own and run your own business, you can control a lot of things like customer service. Hopefully, customers feel that they get great service along with unique items not found in many of the chain stores.

Patch: What is the most challenging aspect of your business?

Sharon: The most challenging aspect of this business is staying up on the latest research and new natural health discoveries which changes daily and then acquiring those new items in a timely manner.

Patch: What is unique about your business?

Sharon: Even the most ardent natural health enthusiast will find something in the store that they’ve never heard of or seen before. Good Vibrations stocks over 500 different kinds of supplements, 40 different pure essential oils, 30 different detoxes, 40 different kinds of healing teas, 500+ health book titles, gluten-free bread, cookies, chips and much more. The inventory is constantly getting larger.

Patch: What would you say makes the Dacula community special to you?

Sharon: I grew up in Gwinnett County, and I’ve lived in the Dacula/Buford area for the last two decades.

Good Vibrations is located at 2464 Winder Highway in Dacula and is open for business Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  The store is closed on Sunday and Monday.
