Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.
You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Where/When: Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m.
Why Go: Everyone enjoys the circus! This is an hour and a half show that includes circus animals, juggling, clowns, and aerial performances under the big tent.
Pricing: $15 per adult (cash only) two children free per paying adult with coupons that can be found at local merchants.
Where/When: Friday, Feb. 4 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. at Publix located at 2380 Buford Drive, Lawrenceville.
Why Go: Are you a Braves fan? This is your chance to get up close and personal with select Braves players and staff. Scheduled to appear are Martin Prado, George Sherrill, Craig Kimbrel, Eric O’Flaherty, Carlos Tosca, Kris Medlen.
Pricing: Free event hosted by the Atlanta Braves.
Where/When: Saturday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Home Depot located at 2120 Hamilton Creek Parkway, Dacula. Head to the back of the store where the workshop is held in one of the classrooms, while supplies last.
Why Go: Kids get to build a heart shaped shelf for Valentine’s Day. All supplies provided by Home Depot and if this is your first time at the workshop the kids will go home with a kid-sized apron, an achievement pin, and their own finished project. If you are a repeat work-shopper you will get a new achievement pin and your new cool creation.
Pricing: This is a free event provided by Home Depot to children in the community.
When/Where:Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, 2020 Clean Water Drive, Buford.
Why Go: This is an educational event where your family can learn all about Mongolia and the extreme weather experienced there. Also enjoy a winter hike and here stories and legends from the region known as Mongolia.Children’s crafts will be available.
Pricing:This event is free to GEHC members, Daily Admission $7.50 for Gwinnett residents 13 and over, $5.50 for seniors, $5.50 for students with valid ID (ages 13-22), $3.50 for children ages 3-12, ages two and under free.
Where /When: Michaels Craft Store located at 1705 Mall of Georgia Boulevard, Buford on Sunday, Feb. 6 from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
Why Go: Kids ages 3 and up can decorate a box for their Valentine’s Day cards with help from the Michael’s craft experts. This is a fun make it and take it activity.
Pricing: The only cost to you is the purchase of a white craft box.
