Gwinnett County 2012 property tax bills will be in the mail by Aug. 15. All bills will be due by Oct. 15. Taxpayers who wish to make two payments may do so, but the total amount must be paid in full by the Oct. 15 due date.
There are several ways to remit property tax payments:
- Pay online by credit card or check at www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com. (Convenience fees apply for credit card transactions; check payments are free.)
- Mail payments to P.O. Box 372, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30046.
- Pay by check using drop-off boxes 24 hours a day at all tax commissioner offices.
- Pay in person during business hours at all tax commissioner offices.
Tax information will be provided to mortgage companies for property owners with escrow accounts, but it is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure taxes are paid by the due date. If there are questions about who will pay taxes, especially if there have been any recent changes with the mortgage company, homeowners are urged to contact their mortgage company directly.

How I LOVE paying for Trash service a YEAR in ADVANCE!
Now collected in a "convenient" for them SINGLE lump invoice…
But at least I am secure in the knowledge that I helped the commission incumbent candidates by letting take my money (at the force of lien) and then using it to let them give a small subset of seniors a 20 dollar a year break on THEIR bill - in an election year… (Who’d thunk it?)
It’s always easy to spend other people’s money with a smile. I wonder if ALL tax payers are treated the same around here or if some get alternate payment plans?
