Man Accused of Demanding Sex Act As Payment for Crack Cocaine

A 23-year-old woman said she was raped by a Buford man to whom she owed money for crack cocaine.

Gwinnett County Police were called to the 2600 block of Sardis Drive on Jan. 27 after a caller reported seeing a suspicious woman outside. The woman told police she was at her home the previous evening when a man she knows as “Doughboy” arrived at her house and said she owed him money. According to the woman, “Doughboy,” later identified as Ira Earls, exposed himself and instructed her to perform oral sex on him as payment. The woman said she agreed, but insisted on doing it elsewhere because she didn’t want her landlord to evict her should he find out what she was doing.

Earls and the woman reportedly went to a house on Bona Road. They were driven to the home by a man later identified as Douglas McDaniel, 43, of Buford, Ga. (click here for related story about McDaniel). Both Earls and the woman went in the house.

“While in the residence, she purchased $20 of crack cocaine and smoked it,” the report stated. “[The woman] stated while in the residence, [Earls] took her in the bathroom and told her to pay up and again removed his penis from his pants expecting oral sex.”

The woman said she told Earls she feared the people in the house would kill her and did not want to do it there, but would do it back at her residence. Earls, the woman and McDaniel returned to the woman’s house.

“At [the woman’s] residence, she attempted to run inside and lock Doughboy out hoping he would leave because it had worked in the past,” the officer wrote in the report. “[The woman] stated that this time it didn’t work and Doughboy told her that now she was going to ‘pay up’ for smoking his crack.”
