Montgomery to Face Two Challengers
Former city councilman, political activist declare intent to seek office.
The qualifying period for the City of Dacula’s November municipal election ended today at 4:30 p.m.
The council seats currently held by Sue Robinson and Tim Montgomery will be filled during the election. Robinson qualified Wednesday afternoon and will not face any opposition during the election. Montgomery, however, will have two challengers.
His first challenger, local political activist Vanessa Hall Green, qualified on Aug. 30. On her Facebook campaign page, Green describes her values as “solidly conservative and Christian.”
Montgomery’s other challenger, Hubert Wells, is a former Dacula city councilman and mayoral candidate. According to Dacula Elections Superintendent Kay Partain, Wells challenged Montgomery in 2007 and lost the race by just five votes.
The Dacula municipal election will be held Nov. 8. In addition to the two council races, city residents will also decide whether to allow Sunday package sales and Sunday liquor by the drink sales within the city limits.

Either of the two gentlemen would provide wonderful representation for the people of Dacula - the woman not so much. Where does she work? Does she have any kind of experience what so ever?
