Propeller CEO Says Commercialization Could Be Beneficial
Brett Smith said expansion of Briscoe Field could be good for residents in Lawrenceville and Dacula.
In a Monday afternoon press conference, Propeller Airports CEO Brett Smith urged the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to delay tomorrow's scheduled vote regarding the privatization of Briscoe Field.

Brett...you know that the neighborhoods will suffer which is why you chose to emphasize that in your little diatribe. I recall you saying in the past...."we (propellar) do not want to put the airport where people do not want it....that's not what we want. Well we have told you that we don't want it....but now its...."I wish that the people could just read the proposal and if after reading it they don't want well so be it...
Brett...do you want us to forget about the hundereds of thousands that we've already spent on analysis thats states the airport is not viable for your proposal?
Brett do us a HUGE favor and act like a tree and leave! Get with the wind and blow, or do magic trick on yourself and disapear!!
The big fork should be coming out tomorrow and hopefully the BOC will finally stick a fork in it....because its done!!
Now...Please prepare to "Propell" yourself out of our county for good!!

Not that Propeller has a real business, but is Brett Smith trying to drive Propeller into bankruptcy too - like EOS airlines?? CBS-46 has posted the Propeller proposal, even though the RFP says "Proposals submitted are not publicly available until after award by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners in accordance with Georgia Law and County Ordinance...If determined that such communication has compromised the competitive process, the offer submitted by the individual, firm or business may be disqualified from consideration for award."
If he is determined to go out kamikaze style, he's got a great chance to have the proposal formally rejected and have have Propeller disqualified - not just from doing business with Gwinnett County, but anywhere. I can't think of anyplace that would put Propeller on their approved supplier list...

I have taken a look at the proposal and found pretty much what the Planning Dept has found.
Even though the proposal shows that a number of heavy hitting partners sucha s Aeroporte De Paris and many other local firms have thrown their support behind this project, the statements for financials are nowhere to be seen.
On the financials, it basically says in a nutshell..."we did not know that there would be a request for financials but trust us...we have access for capital so please give us the contract."
It goes on to show that Brand Banking will infuse funds along with another financial institution, but what is glaring is Propellar lists that it does not have a credit rating because it was only just formed (08/10/2010) for the purpose of buying into Briscoe.
In otherwords, it is a start up company with no history of managing anything. Infact, Propellar is nothing more than the private equity firm and it appears that Airporte De Paris will be running the show...while Brett and his pals reap the rewards...at the homeowners expense.
Get lost dude!!

Gwinnet county votes it down 4 for 0 against
Gwinnett voted to withdraw the FAA application 4 for 0 against
And then we are informed by an attorney from Propeller of a legal dispute because a 4 zero opposing vote.
Of everything that has happened, Mike Royal your association with this group is MOST disappointing…
Brett Smith you are… despicable
