Puppy Found With Two Broken Legs Walks Again – Decatur-Avondale Estates Patch

He has two splints on his front legs for a few weeks, making his walk resemble a fawn from a Disney film -- stiff legged and bouncy at the same time -- but puppy Peanut is definitely moving in the right direction.

Abandoned last month with two severely broken legs, Peanut, a 2-pound Chihuahua/miniature pinscher mix, was rescued by LifeLine Animal Project, after he was found all alone in a parking lot.

Nude Mural in Chosewood Park Gets Temporary ReprieveEast Atlanta Patch

The Chosewood Park mural that sparked a row in the neighborhood over its nude imagery, is not getting repainted after all.

At least, not yet.

The mural, which was painted as part of the Living Walls Conference, was to have been repainted this weekend but will now stay until a Sept. 10 meeting of area residents.

2 Passengers Killed in U.S. 411 CrashCartersville Patch

A Labor Day crash that closed U.S. 411 in Kingston killed two people, both passengers in a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

Preliminary investigation indicates the Trailblazer, which was traveling westbound near Rogers Cut Off Road, left the roadway about 6:45 p.m., went down a steep embankment and hit several trees.

UFO Sighting Reported Over Barrow County JailBarrow Patch
