Several Businesses Eyeing Dacula Market

Half of the suites in the shopping center remain available for rent.

After months of construction, the Dacula Market shopping center is ready to welcome new businesses.

Anchored by the 94,000-square-foot Kroger, Dacula Market has an additional 25,000 square feet of retail space. Several of the suites have already been leased and several other businesses are considering moving to the shopping center according to Weingarten Realty leasing executive Christopher Norat.

In addition to the already open Blue Sky Salon, AT&T store, Riverside Pizza and Supercuts, the shopping center will soon be home to Wok Star Asian Cuisine, Menchie’s and Sugar Island Jerk restaurant. Norat said two restaurants, two insurance offices, a dry cleaner and a martial arts studio are considering leasing some of the remaining eight spaces.

Dacula Market is located at the intersection of Dacula Road and Fence Road. For more information, contact Christopher Norat at 770-618-1082 or email cnorat@weingarten.com.

Too bad they built so many empty spaces when there are dozens of more empty spaces just up the road behind Sun Trust Bank. I wonder how the existing (and popular) nail salon, dry cleaner, frozen yogurt, grocery store, Asian food store and barber store in Dacula Village (anchored by Publix) feel just about now. Was it really necessary to develop that much? It's a shame that the small business stores that were there for so many years are now having to consider shutting their doors because some developer who doesn't even live in our county, let alone our city, thought we needed duplicate everything. Shame, shame, shame on our city council for allowing this over development to ruin the small town flavor we used to enjoy. Great planning guys! Watch them allow development of more empty stores between Woods Child Care and the library. I wouldn't put it past them.

Jimmy Johns Subs, Red lobster , Olive Garden, or Chili's would all be a great additions to the Dacula area.
