Small Coffee, Iced Tea Now Cost More at Dacula Starbucks
Starbucks increases prices on some drinks to offset increased costs for milk, coffee and other ingredients.
A small Starbucks coffee will now cost a few cents more.
According to a Hamilton Mill Starbucks employee, the price for a small, or tall, coffee has increased six cents. No lattes or expressos were affected by the price increase. Prices for iced teas and some other cold beverages also increased by six cents. Reuters reports Starbucks Corporaton raised prices by an average of about 1 percent in some regions including Atlanta and New York.
The price increase, according to Starbucks' fourth quarter earnings report, is the result of higher commodity costs. Despite the increase in prices, Starbucks expects sales will remain strong in 2012 as the company continues to target revenue growth of approximately 10 percent.
Starbucks operates three locations in the Dacula area: the Hamilton Mill Starbucks, the Starbucks in the Hog Mountain Kroger and the Starbucks in the Dacula Kroger. Starbucks plans to open approximately 800 more stores globally in 2012, including 400 in the Americas.
Will the price increase affect your Starbucks purchases? Tell us in the comments.

I can't believe they are raising prices again. My new year resolution - no more Starbuck's. I wish we had a local Mom & Pop coffee shop. Maybe I will win the lottery this year and open one up ;-)!

My consumption of Starbucks went way down as soon as Publix started carrying Dunkin Donuts coffee. I love that stuff.
