Thieves Strike Again at Gold’s Gym

Latest incident one in a series of car break-ins at the Dacula workout facility.

Gwinnett County Police are investigating another daytime car break-in in the parking lot of Gold’s Gym.

The latest incident occurred between 4 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 26. According to the police report, the thief or thieves smashed the rear passenger window of the victim’s black Hummer and took the victim’s purse. The purse contained money, credit cards, the victim’s social security card and her driver’s license.

There were no witnesses.

Gold’s Gym has been the site of several car break-ins over the past few months. In early August, Gold’s announced several security measures intended to prevent further incidents. Those measures included the installation of motion-activated cameras as well as posting signs warning members not to leave valuables in their vehicles.

The Aug. 26 case is listed as an active investigation.
