UPDATED: Win Tickets to 'Young Frankenstein'

Dacula Patch is giving away a pair of tickets to the Mel Brooks musical.

UPDATED March 28 at 5:28 p.m. - Congratulations to Sherry Garrett, the winner of two tickets to the opening night of "Young Frankenstein." Enjoy the show Sherry!

If you love monsters and musicals, then Dacula Patch has the perfect contest for you!

We're giving away a pair of tickets to the opening night of "Young Frankenstein" at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

The show is based on the Oscar-nominated film by Mel Brooks, who created a humorous and twisted adaptation of the Mary Shelley classic. Film buffs may remember musical numbers such as “The Transylvania Mania,” “He Vas My Boyfriend” and a monstrous take on Irving Berlin’s “Puttin’ On the Ritz.”

Entering this contest is easy. All you need to do is post a comment at the bottom of this article to tell us about your favorite Mel Brooks film. Or share a comment about your favorite musical of all time.

We’ll conduct a random drawing from those entries for the Thursday night performance.

Winners will be notified by e-mail and can pick up their tickets at Will Call the day of the show. Winners will need to have photo ID to claim the tickets.

One last detail - To qualify for the drawing, you must get your comment posted by 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, March 28.

For more details about "Young Frankenstein," visit the website for the Gas South Broadway Series or the show's site.

That's a good one. My favorite is "Blazing Saddles" with "Spaceballs" a close second.

Dr. FrankenSTEEN: "Nick knockers!
Terri Garr: "Why, zank you, Herr Doktor!"

Distance: "Howwwllll"
Igor: "Werewolf."
Dr.: "Where?"
Igor: "There. There wolf."

I love this movie.

Its good to be king! I loved the History of the World Part i....thought for the longest time there would be a Part ii, but that was just part of Mel Brooks trying to get you. Or "Its Hedley Lamar, not Heddy". Blazing Saddles was the perfect comedy of its time. Mel Brooks movies were just the absolute best.

Agreed on "History". From Danny Kaye as the first art critic, up to "Count de Money". "De MONAY, de MONAY!"

Most of Mel Brooks movies are the kind that, when I'm channel surfing , if I come across one I just stay and watch it no matter what part in the movie I jumped in at. What is truely satisfying is when my 12 year old daughter sits and watches classic Mel Brooks films with me. By far our favorites are "Blazing Saddles" and "Space Balls". Like all the classic forms of media, wether it be music, television, movies or books; when she sees or hears about a classic, she can't wait to tell me about this " great new thing she found". It's true, everything that is old becomes new again!

I must say all Mel Brooks films are wonderful. They're always good for a pick me up. As for favorite musical, I'm going to have to go with The King and I.

Gotta say my favorite Mel Brooks film is, of all things, "Silent Movie". No talking (except for one very funny gag I won't spoil), all visual gags, sound effects and title cards, and it's a lot of fun.

"What in the Wide World of Sports is a-goin' on here? I hired you people to get some track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City... !" - Taggart

Blazing Saddles hands down! I'd love to finish that quote (or post any other from this movie) but they are all very politically incorrect these days.
