Wounded Veteran Given Mortgage-Free Dacula Home
Bank of America and Military Warriors Support Foundation presented Adam Egli and family with keys to the new home on March 12.
A wounded warrior now has a new, mortgage-free home to share with his wife and three children.
Adam Egli, his wife Danielle and their three children received the keys to their Dacula home from Bank of America and the Military Warriors Support Foundation on March 12.
Sgt. Egli, a retired infantryman, served in the U.S. Army from September 2004 to June 2009. In 2007 while stationed in Iraq, his vehicle was struck by an explosively formed penetrator (EFP). According to a press release, Egli received numerous honors including a Purple Heart.
Bank of America partnered with the Military Warriors Support Foundation’s Homes 4 Wounded Heroes program to provide a mortgage-free home for Egli and his family. Bank of America has pledged to make up to 1,000 homes available nationwide through property donations to military veteran-support charities and other non-profit, community-based organizations.
The Military Warriors Support Foundation assists combat-wounded veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan by awarding mortgage-free homes. The families also receive three years of family and financial mentoring.
