Petition Started to Remove Confederate Carving From Stone Mountain -Stone Mountain Patch There is a petition to have the Confederate carving removed from Stone Mountain, 11Alive reports. Family of Five Displaced Due to House Fire - Lawrenceville Patch A family of five has been displaced due to a fire that completely destroyed their Lawrenceville home. Teens Rescue Drowning Florida Couple - Dallas-Hiram Patch On April 11, two seniors from South Paulding High School, Tyler Feagan and Dillon Humphries, were enjoying Spring Break in Panama City Beach, FL., when they noticed a couple struggling to stay afloat. When Feagan and Humphries looked closer, they observed a man and woman adjacent to the Panama City Pier drowning. Police Sergeant Charged With Aggravated Assault - Cumming Patch A DeKalb County sergeant and Cumming resident has been charged with aggravated assault. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has arrested Scott A. Biumi, 48, of Cumming and charged him in connection with an incident that occurred last week at the McDonald's on Old Atlanta Road in Cumming. Man Says He Is Barack Obama, but Trapped Inside His Own Body -Cartersville Patch A man carrying a stick and yelling as he walked along Main Street caught the attention of passersby and eventually Cartersville police. Eric Tyrone McMickens, 35, of West Main Street in Cartersville, told police about 7:55 p.m. he was in a bad mood and people were trying to "jump" him. He had a beer in his front pocket and registered a .238 on an Alcosensor, according to the incident report, attached. Officials in Walton County Investigating a Suspicious Death - Loganville Patch Brandon Rhinehart, 26, of Loganville, died on April 9, 2013, two days after he sustained a beating, allegedly at the hands of two Loganville women. Loganville Deputy Police Chief Dick Lowry confirmed Rhinehart's death is part of an open investigation. "We can't draw any conclusions until we get the toxicology and autopsy results, but it is an open investigation at this time," Lowry said.
