More About Dacula City Hall
Dacula City Hall houses the offices of the mayor, city administrator, city planner and public works director.
As of 2009, almost 5,000 people lived within the city limits of Dacula. Incorporated in 1905, the city was once a stop on the CSX railroad line. The town's name was created using letters from two prominent nearby towns – Decatur and Atlanta.
The actual city limits of Dacula cover approximately three square miles, but the Dacula community is much larger, encompassing the portion of unincorporated northern Gwinnett County which stretches from Highway 316 to I-85.
The Dacula community includes several parks, schools, fire stations, a county police precinct and two public libraries.
