Annexation Arbitration Scheduled for Sept. 26

City and county officials will meet Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for arbitration regarding the City of Dacula's planned annexation of a 157-acre tract of property.

On July 5, the Dacula City Council unanimously accepted an annexation application from Walton Georgia LLC related to property near Highway 316 and Winder Highway. On Tuesday, July 17, the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to execute a letter and resolution objecting to the annexation. The matter will now go before a board of arbitration. 

The arbitration will be held at the Gwinnett County Police East Precinct at 2273 Alcovy Road. The public is invited but no public input will be allowed.
