Dacula Physical Therapist Receives State Achievement Award

A Dacula resident was recently honored with the 2013 Achievement in Education Award from the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG).

Dr. Niamh Tunney, a Clinical Assistant Professor at Mercer University, received the award on Oct. 19.

According to a press release, the award "recognizes an exceptional Georgia physical therapist whose work has not only made a significant impact on the quality of physical therapy education, but has also advanced the profession."

“Dr. Tunney’s passion and keen ability to foster educational curiosity in students is remarkable,” says PTAG president Dr. Barney Poole in a released statement. “She not only advances the physical therapy profession through her own studies, but she ensures it will continue through the drive she instills in her students.”
