Ain't God Good!

Have you ever been in a situation where you knew if God did not come to your rescue and miraculously change some situations or events, you did not know what was going to happen.....or you DID know what would happen, and it was NOT good?  Yep, I have been there!  In fact, I AM there!

I suppose I have been walking through the refiner's fire lately.  It seems that when we get to a certain point in our spiritual journey, the intensity of the lessons and testing increases.  That's not a good thing, in human terms.  We, human beings, do not particularly like life lessons that we experience over and over until we get them right.  We are uncomfortable with situations we cannot control, and we just plain don't appreciate trouble.

God, on the other hand, views us as diamonds...in the rough. His divine pressure is applied to mold us into the beautiful diamonds He has planned.  Like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, we ask if there is another way to accomplish this burdensome process....but the answer is the same for us as it was for Jesus.  You and I, if we are truly Christians, are on the divine path to become more like our Heavenly Father.

Getting back to my original thought....God is never late.  When we are in the midst of great difficulty; when we pray, but can't form the words because we don't even know what to pray, or we're all prayed out; when we no longer have answers, but only questions.....God shows up...right on time.  We find there IS an answer.  We did not find the answer within ourselves, but through a series of events, through humbling ourselves and discussing things with folks we normally would not talk to about personal issues we usually would not discuss aloud, God leads us through "kingdom connections" to find His perfect will for the problems we face.  God never intended us to hibernate and face trials alone.  He said we are to pray for one another.

Sometimes God seems to allow us to get to the end of ourselves, the end of what we know, and the end of what we can do....then he shows up on our scene in all of His Divine Power and Glory.  We see, firsthand, that His ways are higher than our ways; His thoughts are higher than our thoughts; and His purposes outshine ours a million to zero. (What an analogy!)

I write all this because I am in the midst of such a difficulty, a trial / tribulation, something that is far above my knowledge and ability to solve.  Just as is characteristic for God, this week He has supernaturally guided situations, people, and events, and is working all things for my good.  I see His Almighty Power and how God has shown up....right on time....even though I thought He was late!

God is good all the time; all the time God is good.  Ain't God good!!!
