Another Big Win for the Dawgs!

UGA improves their record to 8-2 overall (6-1) with an impressive game against the defending national champs.

Last night, Georgia improved their overall record to 8-2 with a 45-7 win over Auburn. Murray went 14 for 18 passing, which has got to be one of his higher completion percentages this season. Other noticeable stats were Crowell rushing for 132 yards and a touchdown and Mitchell receiving for 85 yards and a touchdown. Blair Walsh seems to have all but been forgotten with Brandon Bogotay kicking the only field goal and a sizeable portion of the point after attempts.

Good morning, Alex. I told your Mom I would get around to commenting on your post once I got over being shell shocked at the whipping the Dawgs laid on on us. Them Dawgs whipped our behinds about as bad as a a kid beats a new toy drum at Christmas. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought my beloved Auburn War Eagle Tigers would have been mismatched to the tune of 45 - 7. You would probably have to go back to the days before the late Ralph "Shug" Jordan brought respectability to the Auburn football program to see an Auburn team that was as mismatched as we were Saturday afternoon. Anyway, you have bragging rights for the coming year so I will congratulate you and your Dawgs for an outstanding game. BTW, did you see that hit in the second half where a UGA player decleated the Auburn player who was returning the kickoff? Man, I felt that hit watching the game on TV.

Jimmy - You are right about that hit -- talk about getting your clock cleaned! The Tigers faithful no doubt were shell-shocked, but I bet you there are a lot of Oklahoma State fans out there this morning feeling a whole lot worse.

"There are people in all levels of government office who would like nothing more than to beRead More able to conduct all the public business out of public view" The problem is, who's going to stop them? Certainly--no one from this justice department who is complicit in multiple overreaches and coverups.

I wrote this on another post but it so applies here and is worth repeating: James Madison wrote inRead More the federalist paper (no. 51) concerning the separation of powers and need for limited government , "“ It may be a reflection on human nature, that such devices should be necessary to control the abuses of government. But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government……” We need to have a "Madison moment"...
