Dacula Girl Selected to Compete in World Equestrian Event

Ana Cristina Marin has been selected by the Paso Fino Horse Association for Team USA.

After a yearlong tryout process, Ana Cristina Marin of Dacula, Ga., has been selected by the Paso Fino Horse Association to ride as part of the 36-member Team USA at the 10th youth Mundial (World Cup) in Pereira, Colombia on July 4-6, 2014.

This World Cup event is the largest and fastest growing international competition in the Paso Fino breed. Youth from 11 countries spanning three continents will be competing to bring home the Gold for their countries.

For Ana and her teammates, it is the highest honor to be asked to represent their country on the world stage. They will not only be competing in the art of equitation but will represent the United States in a gesture of peace and good will. They are exceptional athletes and fine ambassadors.

When team USA arrives in Pereira, Colombia in July, the young equestrians will be carrying the American flag, as they represent your community and the U.S.
