Dacula Mayor Thanks Day of Service Participants

The 2013 Dacula Day of Service and Remembrance was held on Sept. 11.

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, Dacula Day of Service participants met at Dacula City Hall and walked to Maple Creek Park, picking up litter along the way.

At the park, participants planted two trees and held a brief memorial service to remember those who died during the terrorist attacks of 2001.

On his website, Dacula Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks thanked those who participated and wrote: "We especially want to remember the innocent victims of the terror attack and the heroic efforts of our public safety personnel during this crucial time in U. S. history. We remember by serving. We will not forget!"
