Grab and Go Kids Planner: Catch a Leprechaun!

Head out to the ballpark, spend some time gaming, capture a leprechaun, encourage reading or take a hike this week in or near the Dacula area.

Where/When:  Coolray Field, Home of the Gwinnett Braves, 2500 Buford Drive, Lawrenceville on Wednesday, March 9.

Why Go:  Because America’s favorite pastime is baseball!  Support the Mill Creek Hawk baseball team as they take on Brookwood at 3 p.m. and stay and cheer for the Georgia Bulldogs as they play the Crimson Tide from Alabama.  Game time is 7 p.m.  This great event benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. 

Pricing:  General admission tickets $12

Where/When:  Hamilton Mill Library, 3690 Braselton Highway, Dacula on Thursday, March 10 at 4:30 p.m.

Why Go:  It’s fun, free, involves video gaming and you can bring all your friends.  Teens are invited to the Hamilton Mill Library to play Xbox Kinect with their friends. 

Pricing:  Free event for teens

 

Where/When:  The Aurora Theatre located at 128 W. Pike Street in Lawrenceville at 10:00 a.m on Saturday, March 12.

Why Go:  St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon and the Aurora Children’s Playhouse is welcoming The Story Ship from Savannah which will be presenting an interactive performance “Leaping Leprechauns.”  The kids will love this interactive performance where the audience helps capture Larry the Leprechaun.

Pricing: Tickets are $7 per person

 

Where/When:  Nordstrom Court at the Mall of Georgia on Saturday, March 12 from 1-3 p.m.

Why Go:  Reading is good for the kids and they will have a blast at this celebration of books and reading.  There will be lots of entertaining, interactive stories and activities for kids of all ages.

Pricing: Free to Kidgit members, $5 enrollment fee for non-members

Where/When:  Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center, 2020 Cleanwater Drive, Buford on Monday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m.

Why Go:  Hiking is great family fun.  Join this hike in the lobby of GEHC and enjoy looking for signs of Spring.

Pricing:  In county residents: $6 per child, $8 per adult, $20 family of four
Out of residents: $8 per child, $11 per adult, $30 family of four
