Don’t miss what the “Local Voices” had to say this week on Dacula and surrounding Patch sites.

Storms on June 13 rattled the area, bringing with them multiple EF-1 tornadoes that were confirmed in Cherokee, Cobb, and Fulton Counties.  Blogger Northeast Georgia Weather kept Dacula Patch readers informed before, during and after the storms.   Be sure to follow his blog here.  And if you haven't seen the gallery of storm photos shared by community members on our new Boards section, you'll want to check that out, too!

The Dacula Dolphins Swim Team recently traveled to the Brad Akin YMCA in Winder for the NGSL Pentathlon where they competed in the Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle Stroke, plus the Individual Medley. Find out how local swimmers fared and learn more details about the competition in the post shared by Dacula Dolphins Swim Team.

Several bloggers answered the call to share their thoughts about gardening.  Paula Loniak opens the debate about landscaping vs. gardening, while Jason Brooks' post "Mass Murder in My Backyard" took a different angle.

And blogger Amy Lassetter on Athens Patch used the platform to discuss the symptoms of Classic Depression v. "The Other Depression."
