UPDATE: Power Restored in Hamilton Mill Area of Dacula

The incident is believed to have been weather-related.

UPDATED Nov. 1 at 12:35 p.m.

Power has been restored to several hundred Jackson EMC customers in the Hamilton Mill area of Dacula. The power went out just before 11 a.m. after a tree fell on a utility line on Patrick Road.

A Jackson EMC representative said the incident appeared to have been weather-related. Initially, 1,400 customers were without power but crews were able to quickly reduce that number to 402. As of 12:24 p.m., several Dacula Patch readers have advised power has been restored to the area. The Jackson EMC outage map also indicates power has been restored.
