Where's the Pink Hippo? Family Goes to Social Media to Find Lost Toy
Treasured stuffed toy was last seen in the Dacula area.
A social media effort is aimed at reuniting a 4-year-old girl with her treasured pink hippo.
According to WXIA-TV, the stuffed toy and the suitcase it was in were lost in the Dacula area while the girl and her grandfather were returning from an overnight trip.
When the grandfather, Taylor Clay, stopped for gas, another motorist told him she saw the suitcase — a pink Dora the Explorer suitcase — fall off his pickup truck near Ga. 124 and Mount Moriah Road. The suitcase wasn't found after several searches.
Using the hashtag #BringPinkHippoHome, family and friends are getting the word out. WXIA posted the story on its Facebook page Monday afternoon and it had nearly 600 shares by around 4 p.m.
The grandfather is offering a $50 reward.
