Harry Potter Fans Snatching Up Tickets to Final Movie

Over 400 area Potter Fans have already purchased tickets to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II.

Harry Potter fans better hurry and buy tickets if they want to be among the first to see the final installment in the eight-part movie series based on the beloved books by J.K. Rowling.

The has already sold 400 tickets for the midnight release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II. Fans will get their first chance to see the film at midnight on July 14.

Senior manager J.C. Bolton said ticket sales are going well.

“Sales have been good so far, but we expect to sell most of our tickets the night of the show,” he said.

The theater is prepared to open up as many seats as need. They will be showing the movie in both 3D and in regular theaters. Hamilton Mill Great Escape has 14 theater rooms ranging in seating capacity from 90 to 350 seats. That could be a lot of Potter fans. While they are not expecting to sell every seat, Bolton says that they are on track to sell as many tickets as they did for Part I of the movie.

Many area Potter fans will also take advantage of The Great Escape’s Harry Potter Special Double Feature on July 14. Theatergoers will enjoy watching both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in one night for a discounted price. Part One will be shown at 9 p.m., and Part Two at midnight. When you purchase both tickets, you will only pay $7.50 for Part One of the movie. The special includes 3D collector glasses at the midnight showing while supplies last.

In London, fans have been camping out in Trafalgar Square to await the movie's UK premeire. The Daily Mail reports that hundreds of fans dressed in wizard wear have braved the elements for days in anticipation of the July 7 event.

Loyal Harry Potter fans are known to dress for the occasion. Here at home, you just may find a few wizards as well. J.C. Bolton said that for the previous Harry Potter movies at the Hamilton Mill Great Escape he has seen many fans "dressed in robes and waving wands.”

Whether you plan on dressing up like a wizard or a muggle, the Hamilton Mill Great Escape theater has a seat waiting for you. You can purchase tickets at the door, or online.
