Redbox Announces Top Rentals of 2011

Movie fans have spoken. Redbox recently announced the winners of its 2011 movie awards -- the movies "America brought home and loved" according to a Redbox press release.

The most popular rentals for 2011 are:

• Most-Rented Movie: Just Go With It
• Most-Rented Action Movie: The Green Hornet
• Most-Rented Comedy Movie: Just Go With It
• Most-Rented Drama Movie: The Tourist
• Most-Rented Family Movie: Rango
• Most-Rented Horror Movie: Insidious

Redbox also announced winners in several other categories. Kevin James was the recipient of Redbox's first Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in movies like "Grown Ups," "Zookeeper" and "The Dilemma." James' comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," was the fastest movie in Redbox history to reach one million rentals.

Natalie Portman was listed as the "Most-Rented Actress" at Redbox in 2011 for her work in "Black Swan," "No Strings Attached" and "Thor." The title of Most-Rented Actor at Redbox was awarded to Owen Wilson for his work in the fan favorites "Little Fockers," "How Do You Know" and "Cars 2."
