Win Tickets to 'The Princess and the Goblin'

Treat your special someone to a pre-Valentine’s night at the Atlanta Ballet.

UPDATE: Readers, this contest has closed. Congratulations to winners Kate Leduc and Courtney Layfield. We hope you enjoy a wonderful night at the ballet! -- Patch

The Atlanta Ballet and Patch want to offer you and your sweetie a special night out.

We are giving away two pairs of tickets to the world premiere of Twyla Tharp’s The Princess and the Goblin.

The performance, which will include 13 children from the Atlanta Ballet’s Centre for Dance Education, will be at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

Tharpe is a world-renowned dancer and choreographer whose honors include a Tony Award, two Emmy Awards and a Kennedy Center Honor.

She spent 10 weeks working with the Atlanta Ballet over the summer to create the dance, which will include an original score performed live by the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra.

It takes only a moment to enter this contest. All you have to do is post a comment at the bottom of this article. We’d love just a sentence or two from you telling us about the one thing you’d like to see on Patch that we don’t already offer.

We’ll conduct a random drawing from these entries for The Princess and the Goblin performance on Feb. 10.

Winners will be notified by email and can pick up their tickets at Will Call the day of the show. Winners will need to have photo ID to claim the tickets.

For more details about the performance, check out the website for the Atlanta Ballet.

One last note: You must get your entry in by noon on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

That's great Laurie! I see a lot of people asking for various new columns and news articles... keep in mind that much of what you read from the Patch comes from people like you and me. Email your editor and ask if you can participate by contributing your own stories. New State of The Climate has just been issued. http://dacula.patch.com/blog_posts/january-2012-ranked-fourth-warmest-on-record

I would love to see a 'local business spotlight'! I know we have tons of creative and innovative small businesses in Kennesaw, and I know there must be tons that I don't yet know about!

Would like to see local networking opportunities for our businesses and schools posted on the patch. Maybe happy hours or after hours.

Patch does a great job of keeping up with local news and events. I do agree with one post about helping aggregate classes and activities offered by community centers, parks and libraries.
