Athens First Bank and Trust to Become Bank of North Georgia

Hamilton Mill branch of AFB&T will become a branch of the Bank of North Georgia on June 27.

The will become a branch of the Bank of North Georgia next week.

The change, which takes effect on June 27, will give customers access to 41 branches throughout metro Atlanta including three other Gwinnett branches in Buford, Norcross and Suwanee.

In a released statement, Bill Douglas, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board at AFB&T said the same financial services will be available to customers.

“Although the name is changing, the customers’ day-to-day experience at the Hamilton Mill branch will not change.  When they walk into the branch, they will be greeted by the same friendly faces and bankers they have grown to know and trust,” said Allen Barker, Regional Market President for Bank of North Georgia.

During the upcoming customer appreciation month, June 27–July 30, visitors to the bank can enjoy refreshments and special giveaways, enter a raffle to win an iPad 2 and learn more about special product promotions.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for August 3 at 9 a.m.

The Hamilton Mill branch is located at 3507 Braselton Highway. The bank is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drive through hours begin at 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.
