Construction Underway for Dacula Chick-fil-A

Restaurant projected to open in January of 2012. Opening day celebration will include a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals for 100 fans.

The much-awaited Dacula Chick-fil-A is now under construction.

Chick-fil-A public relations representative Brenda Morrow expects the restaurant to open in January of 2012. to the local economy.

Hiring for the new location will begin approximately four to six weeks before the restaurant opens. According to company spokesperson Lindsay Ables, the franchise operator of each location will typically take applications and conduct interviews at an on-site trailer in the weeks leading up to the grand opening.

As part of the grand opening celebrations, Chick-fil-A will give away a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals (52 certificates) to the first 100 adults in line on opening day. Since 2003, Chick-fil-A has given away more than $13 million in free food as part of its opening day promotions.

The 4,500-square-foot eatery will be located at 545 Dacula Road between the and . The restaurant will have seating for 144 customers and will include a children’s play area.

Chick-fil-A has more than 1,500 restaurants in 39 states and is one of the largest privately held restaurant chains in the nation. Sales in 2010 topped $3.5 billion making Chick-fil-A the second largest quick service chicken restaurant chain in the United States.
