Dacula Chick-fil-A to Open Dec. 15

Grand opening moved up from 2012, store now hiring.

Mark Rockett, the director of operations for the , said the restaurant will open for business on Dec. 15 instead of .

Rockett said the company will hold group interviews every Monday at 4 p.m. at the Hamilton Mill Chick-fil-A, 2635 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford. Candidates may then be called back for an individual interview. Those interested in applying are encouraged to email  jobs.cfahmd@gmail.com for more information about the group interviews and to obtain the link to download the employment application. Applications will also be available at the Hamilton Mill Chick-fil-A during the group interviews.

Rockett said the company is hiring for all positions. Full time, part time and day and night shift positions are available.

“We’re trying to hire early and do a lot of training in-house [at the Hamilton Mill Chick-fil-A] before the opening,” he said.

By the time the Dacula Chick-fil-A opens, Rockett hopes to have a work force with several weeks of experience.

The Dacula Chick-fil-A will be owned and operated by Bob Garrett, who also owns the Hamilton Mill store.

Rockett said he and Garrett are excited about the new location.

“The community feel really aligned with what Chick-fil-A searches for in terms of that family environment, that close-knit group that Dacula is,” Rockett said.

As part of the grand opening, the Dacula Chick-fil-A will host a “First 100” giveaway. The first 100 people who comply with the official contest rules will receive 52 Chick-fil-A meals.

Rockett encourages those interested in participating to visit the Chick-fil-A website to read the official “First 100” contest rules.

According to Rockett, participants will be allowed to line up at the Dacula Chick-fil-A beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, the day before the grand opening. Participants must stay on the property for the full 24 hours. During the wait, Chick-fil-A will provide participants with meals, snacks and entertainment. On the morning of Dec. 15, the “First 100” contest prizes will be awarded and the new Chick-fil-A will open its doors for business.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better spot,” Rockett said.. “We’re extremely blessed and we’re really excited about making it over to Dacula.”
