Dacula Ippolito's Goes out of Business

Other locations to remain open.

The Dacula location has closed its doors.

A recorded message on the Ippolito's restaurant number confirmed the closure:

Thank you for calling Ippolito's at Hamilton Mill. We thank you for your patronage over the last year of business. Unfortunately, this location was unable to generate enough business to stay open and we've had to close our doors. We do encourage you to continue to visit Ippolito's at our Suwanee and Norcross locations. Thank you.

Last month, the including management changes and a new schedule. In an announcement posted on Dacula Patch, owner Frank Genovese wrote, "Thank you for your support for our first 15 months here in Hamilton Mill. We are looking forward to serving you for years to come."

Attempts to reach an Ippolito's spokesperson for comment were unsuccessful.

It is a shame that Ippolitos @ Hamilton Mill closed. Though there may have been management changes, unfortunately the damage had already been done; too little too late. I can't help but think that the unfortunate decline in their business was a direct result of an inadequately supervised staff, plain and simple.

The reasons for this location not being successful lie in the lap of the single owner who had no one to reign him back and keep his poor business habits in check. The other two locations he is a partner in and the two partners are the reason those locations have succeeded. The management and staff can only do what they are allowed to do. It is any business owners responsibility to be a leader.

It's sad people have to be so ugly. Restaurants are closing everyday. This economy is largely to blame. I feel badly for the families affected, especially the owner. No one wants to fail. The owner of this location is the majority owner of his other 2 locations as well, which happen to be the 2 best performing Ippolitos out of all of their locations. I hardly think that he is the reason this restaurant failed People that don't know their facts should not state their opinions. Be kind with your thoughts and words towards others. We all have feelings. I wish the owner the best through this difficult time.

I am extremely disappointed in this news! We had never had an unpleasant experience, the food and staff were always great! Ippolitos had become our favorite place (my fiancé and Is) I mean, he proposed to me there! We had discussed marriage so much and, well, we just knew it was going to happen, that he had such a difficult time trying to propose and not have me see it coming. Ippolitos was "our place" so i was surprised when he snuck it after dinner!! We will be getting married April 2013 and had planned to have our rehearsal dinner at Ippolitos..... So this is very sad news for us.

I am extremely disappointed that Ippolitos did not make it in our community. I thought it was the perfect restaurant for us. I would like to hear from the owner, the real reason for closing so that we can all use that as a learning experience. This community needs viable businesses and we should work together to keep them. Where is the Hamilton Mill Business Association?
