Dacula Post Office to Host 'Grow Your Business Week'

Small and home-based businesses, entrepreneurs, and other customers are encouraged to visit their local post offices to learn about EDDM mailing and how it can assist you in growing your business.

Dacula small and home-based businesses, entrepreneurs and other customers are invited to visit the next week and participate in “Grow Your Business Week.”

According to a press release, postal representatives will offer workshops on how the Postal Service's direct mail products can help small businesses.

EDDM, or Every Door Direct Mail, is a saturation mailing that can be mailed in a large envelope, flyer, tube, irregular parcel or newsletter. Business owners can chose a geographical area to target without using names and exact addresses; instead the mail is addressed to “Postal Customer”, “Residential Customer” or “P.O. Box Holder.”

When using this new mailing product mailing permits and mailing lists are not required. Customers may use an online tool to identify specific neighborhoods, prepare mailing documentation and calculate their postage.

EDDM was developed to help businesses, primarily small businesses, lower mailing costs. By accomplishing this goal EDDM hopes to drive traffic, attract new customers for businesses, help businesses grow and strengthen the economy.
