The will close its door on April 10.
The store, located at 2463 Hamilton Mill Parkway, is just one of the area franchise locations going out of business. The Buford Drive and Pleasant Hill Road Blockbuster stores and the store on East May Street in Winder are among those being closed. The and Chateau Elan stores will remain open for now according to store employees.
Blockbuster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September of 2010. On Feb. 21 of this year, Blockbuster announced plans to sell the company.

According to the company website, Blockbuster expects the majority of its stores to continue to serve customers as normal.
